This is the Honduras Miguel Moreno brought to you by Brandywine Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was grown by Miguel Moreno in the Santa Barbara region of Honduras at 1,550 meters above sea level. The cup has a rich brown sugar sweetness and notes of buttery lemon bread with a juicy body.
This was our first coffee from Brandywine, and it was very good! I am not as familiar with Honduran coffee, but this set the bar with a clean profile and date-like sweetness as it cooled. Not astounding, but definitely solid coffee. We will be trying more from Brandywine!
The tasting notes on the bag do not match the ones listed. This roast has notes of nectarine, orange, peach, and panela. That being said, it is a good coffee with a very clean taste. Not my favorite personally, but for the tasting notes it is spot on.
I LOVE this coffee. Its fruity and light, but not over powering. The only odd thing is this shows notes of nectarine, orange, peach, and Pamela on the bag, but the mistobox site shows brown sugar and lemon. That aside, this is my favorite coffee in a while!
Accidentally ordered the same coffee twice? We thought this was a different roast by the same company. We like it - maybe not THAT much, but it is good. Question - why does the Misto Box description say "brown sugar, lemon" but the packaging references neither?
Fantastic. Very different and very pleasant.
This coffee was amazing. Had it in both bonavita batch brewer and chemex. Well balanced, so sweet. Got both lemon, vanilla, and brown sugar tasting notes. Ordered another bag from Brandywine's website. It was THAT good!
I really liked the fruity flavor of this, as well as the floral notes and the overall sweetness. It made a consistent, really nice cup of coffee.
so balanced. so good. brandywine can do no wrong in my eyes.
I've tried brewing via pour over and french press and have been very underwhelmed. Far too much fruit and lemon. I am not sure what other factors are at play... maybe the roast is too light? I usually like central american beans. Are there other questions I can answer to make sure I get something different next time?
