It was disappointing. I have had much better from Hawaii, Peru, and Puerto Rico. Yes, even some cheap Puerto Rican coffee was much better.
Adequate, simple, tasty
I tried making several adjustments to the brew for this coffee. My last chemex brew was 1:16 ratio, 205 degree water, medium-coarse grind, and 6 minute total brew time with 1 minute bloom. The coffee tasted a little too sour for my taste and came out a bit darker than I like. I’ll try increasing the grind size and see if that helps.
Had to set my grinder to a pretty fine setting before I started getting good tasting cups from my french press. Was able to get some good chocolaty and nutty flavor eventually, replacing the bad vegetal taste I kept getting from under-extracted brews.
I thought this was pretty good pour over coffee, I did enjoy it more over ice than hot. For a light roast it was pretty light on the fruity notes which was pleasant. Not that I dislike acidic/fruity light roasts. Sorry if that doesn’t help, have a nice day :)
I loved the nutty notes and how it had extra flavors beyond just being 'coffee.'
peruvian coffee its one of my fav. Nutty, with hints of chocolate. Smooth mouth feel. The only thing that I personally didnt love its too light bodied i prefer a little bit more
We both liked it!
It started off super strong but over a few days it became more delicious
Delicious coffee! Sweet chocolate taste, enjoyed every morning! Will buy again.
I really enjoyed this coffee with drip and pour over. Delicious flavor, the nuttiness really comes through. Very good brew, highly recommended, and I look forward to ordering from Good Folks again!
Note: Using ground coffee, pour over and drip
My absolute favorite one so far. So chocolatey and sweet without being too heavy. I love it!
Incredible for drip
Overall great cup, really love anything coming from Peru
Enjoyed for the most part, but it had a certain bitter note to it that I didn't like. I prefer a sweeter note because I try to take my coffee without sugar.
incredible roast. hard to believe it's a light roast! we're hooked. hubby is not a black coffee drinker but drank every cup of this black! sooo good. just a really well rounded and full bodied roast.
Good body for a light roast - enjoyed the mix of flavors and worked well for my brewing method
