Didn't care for this one. It tasted very dark, almost burnt, even though it didn't look too dark. I couldn't manage to pull out a flavor that I could focus on other than that.

Such a great, strong, and smooth coffee! I used a pour over system to brew and it had such a good deep coffee flavor, while still being smooth and non acidic.

Very smooth, but seems to get almost too much "bite" when the cup cools. Also, not much bloom going on with this one for some reason.

This was a great complexion of flavors. I feel that the darker flavors came out well when brewed at a lower temp, and given more time to in the water to brew. Though the overall flavor was better for me at a slightly higher temp and brewed faster. This is a great choice for French Press style coffee makers.

Not sure what these folks are talking about when they say "bland" or "acidic"... I'm loving this coffee! Super smooth and full of flavor! One of my favorites from Mistobox!

Really liked this one on an Eva Solo, where the layers definitely came out. The pourover was pretty full-bodied as well.

This was not very good. I felt like the taste was about the same as a store bought brand and was very weak in the caffeine department. Not a good morning cup, which is when I enjoy my coffee.

I enjoyed this one pretty well. I didn't think it was very rich. If the richness increased x3 it would have been a 5. The caramel and nutty notes were delicious.

There are few things greater than when the smell of a fresh roast hits your nose as you 1st open the bad. This is where this coffee began to fail. The family seemed to agree. Something was off with the lack of smell for this roast. As I first brewed this coffee the smell was lacking.
However I still had high hopes. Sadly the flavor was much like the aroma. The Only flavor I could pick up on was a hint of bitterness.
If it wasn’t for my strong disliking of eating money I would have thrown the rest of this into the trash.
All that being said....My Wife liked it.

Not bitter, solid flavor, stands up alone. Rich would be good description. Still seeking European flavor without the bitterness seen in this country.

I liked this one a lot, definitely in the top half of the ones I've seen so far. I definitely enjoy the caramel-chocolate-nutty character. I just like a coffee with a little darker roast.

I almost regret my other five-star ratings given how perfect this coffee is. Rich, bold, supple, and yet still imbued with flair. I will happily try this again--and any others from Caffe Vita.

Roast level was fine. Did not like as much as the first coffee. Seemed no different than beans from the grocery store. Bland. Next should be medium roast, strong aroma, low acidity, Full body.

I can’t explain it. Maybe because I haven’t had time to enjoy my coffee recently, but this blend left me unenthused. I didn’t pick up the caramel notes. Not bad but probably my least favorite mistobox delivery thus far.

Fantastic daily drink of coffee.
I was lucky enough to live near a cafe Vita for a bit, so this coffee was a bit nostalgic for me.

This was a pleasant, smooth coffee. It disappeared quickly! The caramel notes were subtle and made a richer flavor without tasting too nutty.

Pretty good cup of bold but easy to drink brew. Tastes great out of the Moka-Pot or V60, especially nutty out of the Moka. Great coffee with breakfast!

I knew this coffee would be bad when I first opened the bag. The smell was horrible. I ended up making a french press and it tasted like a campfire and cigarettes.

This is a great cup of coffee. Although it describes it as a medium bodied roast, it's definitely on the darker side which i really appreciate. Not too bitter or acidic, I love the notes of almond and caramel, I thought you could test them very well. One of my favorites so far!

We had friends round and only had enough of the Bistro Blend for one jug so I purchased a bag of Giant Food own brand Guatemala High Grown whole bean coffee. We compared one mug of this coffee with the Bistro Blend and every one found that the Giant Food coffee tasted significantly better.

While the Bistro Blend is good, I preferred the Verve 1950. The Bistro Blend seems stronger to me, with that little bitter, kind of acidic tang under the tongue that I don't enjoy. I'm going to try adjusting the amount of beans & water for my Chemex but unless that significantly decreases the slightly burnt flavor of the finished coffee, I would still say the 1950 was much smoother and more to my liking. Thanks a bunch - I look forward to the next batch of beans!

Not quite sure what it is that we didn't like. Looking at the descriptions of the different blends, we are thinking maybe we didn't like the "rich" aspect of this one. Seemed a little too dark for us.
