This is the Breakfast Blend brought to you by Topeca Coffee Roasters. A blend of coffees from Topeca's two farms in El Salvador, this coffee is made to be a well balanced cup, sure to get you up and where you need to be in the morning. This cup is fantastically balanced, with notes of honey, baking spices and a mild acidity.

Very creamy with the perfect amount of chocolate notes but not too sweet. A nice roast that is not bitter at all. Goes great black or with creamer.

This was a delicious bag of coffee. I felt like the notes of caramel and spice made this a more diverse bag. I enjoyed each cup differently, black or with cream, hot or iced. Each cup was delicious.

The smell of this coffee was fantastic so I was a bit disappointed I could not taste the honey or baking spices as described. Overall it is a good cup of coffee, I just wish it was a bit stronger.

Pretty light but balanced.

I’m afraid the breakfast blend might be a mellow trend. Not that we like all bold flavors, but this easy drinking trend may not be what we’re looking for.

This was our second favorite, after synthesis. The balance definitely came through. It tasted more interesting (maybe sharper?) than the previous one we reviewed. Sometimes blends are too much of a mix of flavors, but this one was very good. We went through it quickly!

One of my favorites to date. Good caffeine levels, not too aggressive. Aldehydes seem low. And it’s very tasty. However I have to brew this one with more beans compared to others, my standard water to bean ration results in a watered down coffee with this blend. So it doesn’t last very long, but I still really like this one.

Really great breakfast blend. I have had a few selections from Topeca come my way that I have really appreciated. Made me purchase the Espresso variety when I was stopped in Tulsa last month. Solid A!

Wonderful cup of coffee. No bitterness, not as sweet as the last but smooth. Another bonus is the packaging! All roasters should use this bag, it is fantastic! I can truly keep the beans in an air tight container! Super simple yet works so well.

Light and flavorful - the first thing we noticed was orange/citrusy flavors finishing with a bit more earthy, nutty, cocoa flavors. The light, almost herbal qualities reminded us almost of tea (in a good way). I thought this was a good afternoon blend and could pair well with a light breakfast/lunch such as fruit, yogurt, avocado, toast, etc.

While we always enjoy trying new flavors and varieties, this coffee was a bit too mild for our taste. I drink my coffee black while my husband prefers lots of cream and we both felt the flavor was too weak. Interesting blend but not our favorite.

This coffee tastes tart and acidic, like a Granny Smith apple. Personally, I prefer darker roasts.

Between a 3 and 4. I would lean towards 3 though. The flavor is a little bitter and a tad burnt-ish but overall I liked it. I would say I like the Organic blend more but it is a toss up really.

This light brown coffee tastes sour. The flavor complexity is there, the balance, and the cleanliness of the cup. Nevertheless, the first taste, the sour acidity is a real turn off.

It indeed is a well balanced cup. I usually like things a bit darker but this is perhaps the exception because it is so well balanced and deliciously drinkable.

This was such a bright cup. Like an apple muffin right out of the bag. a nice contrast to the weather. I didn't enjoy this one hot as much as I did an iced Chemex. I'd have to say this was a warmer weather coffee for me.

:/ This is the only one I would not prefer again. The coffee had a nice taste to it, but it is a weaker blend. Took a lot of grounds to make it strong enough. My ultimate blend is somewhere in the middle of espresso and light. Maybe a a medium/dark. I surely drank it up though, just took a lot more grounds

Soft at first but it grew on us. Balanced flavor profile with prominent apple notes. More pronounced flavors from pour over.

The nose on this blend resembled something akin to moist earth or sweet herbs. When brewed, the color appeared to be closer to a burnt orange than dark brown. The flavor was not deep, but slightly sweet with a touch of acidity. I think this blend was a bit too light and sweet for my taste, but I enjoyed the almost creamy mouthfeel.
