The Roma Espresso Blend was carefully roasted for you by Parisi Artisan Coffee. Espresso Roma is the left hand to Espresso Parisi's right. Bigger bodied with a lingering finish, Espresso Roma is a must for the heavy milk and espresso users. This coffee is full bodied with a mix of rich chocolate and caramel notes.
Too dark and bitter even with a coarser grind, did not like the flavors at all. It was even hard to mask it with extra steamed milk in my cappuccino. Didn't finish
I made this in my coffee maker. It's a little full for me, and I didn't like it as much as the Papua New Guinea that I got last week. It was OK. I think I liked it better after I adjusted the grind to fine.
Full of flavor, great espresso.
Loved the flavors in this one. I was worried the espresso flavor might be strong but it was rich and very smooth. I was pleasantly surprised!

It was a little bland at high temperatures. We’re prepared it in the espresso machine and a machienetta. It was better on stovetop.

Love this one! So rich, and I definitely get the notes of caramel. Have always been a fan of full-bodied, dark roasts and this fits the bill! It is the type of coffee I would pick for myself based on the bag description. Would love to try something off the beaten path next bag!

I don't know why this came pre-ground, but it did and the grind was far too coarse for espresso. A waste of a month.

While the base flavor notes were pleasant, there were bitter notes that I did not enjoy. Additionally, this coffee had to be ground incredibly fine to pull a proper shot on a commercial espresso machine.

This has been the best one yet. It's a perfect dark coffee that I'm absolutely head over heels in love with and may actually try to find for online purchase. It's perfect with creamer, so far it's been one of the only ones that creamer seems to compliment.

Taste has held up well over the first couple of weeks. Rich flavor, although a little too much spice notes for me (a little pinch of brown sugar makes the taste reminds me of cinnamon raisin). Probably looking for more of a rich dark chocolate flavor.

A bit too dark roasted for my tastes. It is quite bold and a bit too dark to drink without milk or even in a cortado.
I liked the full-bodied nature of this coffee. We like to make lattes with a home-frothing system and having a heavier roast like this helps contrast the milk.

This coffee was a little over-roasted for my taste. It manages to have a heavy body, which I appreciate (a truly dark roast would not) but there are some flatter, near-burnt tasting notes that I don't love. It pairs quite well with milk as the sweetness of the milk adds some balance.
Makes great espresso, once I dialed in the grind it pulled perfect shots with great crema.

Also your website indicates this as a medium roast in the picture and on the roast scale. The bag I received said it was dark roast. Did i receive the wrong coffee?

Darker roast than I prefer. I drink my espresso straight most of the time. This would hold up well to lattes and other milk blended drinks, and did go nice in a cappuccino.

This was a fine full bodied, strong espresso, but it wasn’t anything special to me. I can get something very similar from our local roaster. I missed the complexity and interesting flavors that were in Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co.’s Organic Espresso.

The somewhat bolder body compared to other medium roasts makes for fantastic cappuccinos. For straight espressos, though, the somewhat strong base notes overshadow the more delicate flavors.
This one smelled fruity and good, but was much too bitter to taste. The bitterness masked the rest of the flavors too much. The good folks blend was much better.
I recalled enjoyed this one. The chocolate and caramel really stood out and was not bitter when pulling shots.
I really liked this coffee! It was bold and full but not at all burnt, and with very low acidity. I drank it black and savored every sip... my boyfriend drank it as a mocha espresso and said it was even better than the local coffee shop!

For those who like dark roasts with a lot of body, this is the one. Its flavour changes as you drink it - some nice aftertastes including a couple of bitter ones. I made a mistake on my subscription and chose dark roasts a few times by mistake. oops.

This one was pretty good. I've enjoyed it. I'm not always a huge fan of caramel in my coffee, but this I definitely liked. It isn't a super strong caramel taste like when adding the sugared flavoring afterward.

Strong caramel flavor with some tang to it. I do not taste much chocolate, and it is not as deep bodied as I was expecting from the official description. Flavor and mouth feel is unique. Probably would not want as a daily espresso, but good for something different.
This has a great coffee flavor with a hint of chocolate at the end. The beans are a lot lighter than the Dilllano's Special Dark were. The strong coffee flavor jumps out on this one and it finishes really smooth.
As an espresso I like this, but it doesn't have as much depth of flavor as I like for a coffee.

Rich dark chocolate taste. It's a dark roast but it doesn't taste over-roasted. This is an espresso that anyone can appreciate.
Looks like a medium dark roast, behaves like a medium light with my espresso machine. It was a bit more difficult to adjust- watery, not much crema. Definitely had to grind finer than when I normally use medium roasts to avoid splashing. Got some lightly fruity espressos that turned into hints of milk chocolate when milk was added. Also pulled a smooth double ristretto (accidental, slipped while tamping. Tamped too hard, you know how it goes) with a nice complex combination of fruit and chocolate flavors. Wasn't bad overall, I'm not particularly drawn to it though.
Nice blend that works well in espresso and pourover (Chemex and Clever Dripper).

I usually enjoy the medium/light roasted espressos, but I wanted to experiment, and really happy I did. This is not the oily darker roasts you see in generic coffee shops, that usually give an even taste of ash and charcoal. Rather this is a beautifully balanced traditional Italian espresso, with a long finish of dark chocolate. Though I didn't quite get the caramel, it's sweet enough at the end without being fruity. With a reasonable machine and grinder, if I close my eyes I can imagine I'm in a piazza in Rome.
This coffee tasted stale and was a heavy roast. We have specifically chosen light and medium roast and are confused as to why we were sent a dark roast and without a roast date so we cannot determine the freshness of the beans. Disappointed once again
This blend was great for both espresso drinks and pour overs. The rich taste was complimented by a strong finish.

Not what I expected but this isnt what I consider as espresso. Cant get a descent or consistent pull out of this blend. Its acidity, full bodied and unbalance, not my type. After pulling a shot I assume the beans could be at least 3 weeks old since it lacks crema and the bag doesnt have a roasted dates.
The after taste is not really good. Not our cup of "tea".

I like espressos and this one was pretty good. However, it tasted a bit lighter than I expected. The bean looked to be a medium roast at best, although it said dark roast on the package. (I don't care for dark roasts personally, just pointing out the difference between the description and how the coffee tastes)

looking for a slightly lighter roast with more bold flavors that won't require a lot of milk, as this one does. furthermore, i typically brew my coffee in a chemex and sometimes in a french press so not really sure this is the best coffee given my typical brewing methods.
I found the Roma Espresso to be better than average but I'd prefer the aftertaste to be little less sweet and fruity.
This "espresso coffee" is the first actual espresso coffee in my espresso subscription, and it's not really an espresso coffee. It's made for espresso AND french press. Which is, obviously, not possible. The resultant espresso is bad, even on super find grind setting it's almost impossible to get a decent extraction. On the same setting as I use for most espresso I get 30+ grams in 12-15 seconds. Resulting in what should be under extracted grossness. It's not horrible, it's just bad and this clearly isn't a real espresso roast it's some hybrid nonsense. There is once again no guide for a recipe at all and no roasting date. This is a level of coffee I can get at safeway for less. What a disappointment

We liked this blend. There was a nice chocolate flavor taste, and after some tweaks, we were able to pull nice espresso shots. We only gave 4 stars because the after taste was less smooth than the Sermon espresso we got last time.

Easy drinking but not as many layers of flavor
This seemed to be more a mellow blend to me. Very smooth. We'd like to try something with a bit more bite and boldness. We like to add heavy cream to our coffee, so it still has to stand up to that! Also, we've been making butter coffee occasionally, and it can often make coffee bitter. Thank you!!!

This is one of the worst coffees I have had. It was not dark at all, really acidic, stale and bitter. I do not recommend.

The roast was on the dark side of medium, but I wouldn't call it dark. Compared to other espresso blends, this was in the middle of the road; not great, but not bad.

We have a Breville Oracle espresso machine. We ground at a coarse setting of 35. It was too mild and had no lingering taste. Almost a paper taste in the espresso. We made the grind finer to 30 and it was better, but not really bold enough to stand out in a latte. Not sold on this one. Going to a finer grind brought on off notes. Still learning how to distinguish between sour and bitter.
It was going so well with my subscription after they dialed in what kind of coffee I like, now we are back to where we started. This coffee is not good, has a strong floral taste. I would not recommend this coffee if you want a bold dark roast. Very disappointed!

I liked this one a lot. I think I tend to enjoy espresso blends. I appreciated that it was noted how this coffee is good for heavy milk users. I used to drink my coffee light and sweet, but have slowly moved to drinking black coffee. But that note prompted me to grab a bottle of half and half, and it was great. I could still taste the deep flavor, and liked the caramel notes. A real treat!
This is definitely the best roast I've received so far. It's smooth and flavorful. It grinds well and produces a wonderful crema. It's not too bitter and blends well with steamed milk. Keep the beans like this coming!

when compared to Nizza, this was less dense, less rich and the flavour was less durable - I also noted that quality of the beans/roast seemed lesser as manifest by the inconsistency of each shot - the Nizza was most consistent and required less futzing with grind settings - it was not burnt but also not very exciting to my palate
This is my second shipment from Mistobox, and I think I enjoyed the first one better than this one. This is is good, but I had to play with the amount I added because after following the suggested amount it was a bit too acidic.
The coffee is a bit better than Equator with a nice expresso initial taste, but a too smokey aftertaste. It is not as rich an expresso as compared to Ille Italian expresso, dark. Overall, it is a mild tasting expresso with steamed milk for a latte and does hold up some what to the frothy milk. The acid seems more balanced to my taste.

Ahh, my first coffee from MistoBox, like a first love this blend will remain etched in my memory forever. Complex, full and tasty and great as espresso. Very Italian feeling. I want to ride a Vespa through the streets of Rome after drinking this piece of coffee art.

Complex aroma makes me think of hazelnut and caramel, with a finish to match. Not as "dark" or "smokey" as I usually like, but that results in a coffee that is inherently sippable and pairs amazingly with milk chocolate or breakfast sweets. Hoped for less acidity and richer mouth feel. Complexity comes across well via aeropress, but drip (obviously) or french press was less satisfying.
It definitely lacks in full body flavor, not smokey but sour in taste. I tried various grind levels and brewing times but it always had a muted acidity and flat sourness (like under-brewed coffee.)

The flavor was good and interesting. The aroma was nice. It produced a very drinkable cup when mixed with milk for a latte. The flavor was deep, perhaps too deep. I think I might prefer something a little lighter, maybe with some fruit hints.

I usually drink my espresso without any sugar. I liked this but think I would prefer a less acidic blend since I don't use milk (lazy in the morning :) This is really smooth and easy to drink.ps. I don't like Stumptown Hair Bender blend. Way too acidic. Tasting notes say it has cherry, toffee, and fudge.
This coffee, like the last one had bright, citric-like notes that I don't find too appealing.

Flavor is good but it finishes weak in your mouth so not as robust as some.
Solid cup of coffee but nothing spectacular. This one is actually being served at my local coffee shop near work this week. I typically use an aero press when I brew which helped the flavor quit a bit. I prefer a bit more complexity to my coffee.

Hard to give 5 stars on my first MistoBox shipment, but this coffee is certainly very tasty -- it's bold, yet smooth. There is a gentle smoke flavor that balances a sweet tinge. This is a great coffee for my Moka Pot and I like that the Parisi package has instructions for Moka pot use. I brewed in my French press as well, but prefer this coffee in my Moka pot.
A beany aroma to the ground beans that I associate with cheap beans like generic Columbian belies a nice variable and complex cup. Maybe weirdly, I seem to taste different notes in the pour over cups (unsweetened butterscotchy flavors and, earthy, loamy richness) and aeropress cups, (a dark red cherry flavor tart on the back outside edges of the tongue). There is more that I can't describe. At first I disliked the 'less darkly roasted than I tend to prefer' roast. Now, though, I think that more roasting might have interfered with the subtler and more various flavors. How the coffee can be both rich and tart in different ways eludes me, but I like it. I feel sort of educated by this new idea. I don't know if I'd like this for a daily cup but I feel that it would be worth enjoying from time to time.

This blend was far from a typical espresso. While the nose was smoky and a bit fruity, the taste was bold and almost tangy. The beans were lighter in color from what I envision an espresso bean to be, but there was still an oily sheen. While I enjoyed the change, the flavor was not as deep or smooth as what you'd might expect from espresso.

This was excellent, just my kind of coffee. Beans not too dark or oily; tasted fresh; very broad on the palate; not too acidic or fruity or angular. Wonderful dark chocolate flavors; great mouthfeel from the press pot. A winner for my taste. Makes me wonder if I prefer blends for their gestalt, vs. the distinctiveness of single-bean-type.
