Description
The Signature Espresso Blend was carefully roasted for you by Topeca Coffee Roasters. A naturally processed Direct Trade coffee from the Ayutepeque farm gives this blend an intense fruit sweetness and syrupy body, while its washed component comes in with chocolate, nut, and cedar tones. Finally, a small portion of coffee from El Manzano rounds everything out with bright floral spice. A great espresso to feature on its own and equally delicious when paired with milk.

This was a good bag. Good pronounced flavor, consistent through the bag. Went to a 19+ g dose.

Really good coffee here!!! It's really very interesting that this is a coffee that is made from two different beans from one single origin so it's like a single-origin blend and that is pretty unique and what comes from it, is a very smooth coffee with a touch of acidity that is pleasant and not overly sour/ tart, this bean is pretty forgiving and easy to work with due to being grown at lower elevations it makes for a density that's easy to draw flavor from and work with. Chocolate, nuts and caramel come through very loud and clear actually, after drinking a shot I wait about 4 minutes to see what leftover flavors are in my mouth and there was a very clear sweet Caramel taste in my mouth left over 4 minutes later which was very enjoyable! This is a winner!!!!

Delicious coffee with the advertised chocolate and nutty notes. This one was so fragrant that my coworker kept asking what flavorings I added to it (nothing!).

Excellent - brews as espresso for cappuccino very well. Smooth taste, chocolaty. Just all around excellent. Send me more of this one.

I really like this one brewed hot at 10g:6oz in French Press, and with a little sugar. But I LOVE it brewed as hot bloom/cold brew in the ratio suggested in the blog. Its perfect as is, black. Add a little cream and it’s an absolute treat!

Solid but not exceptional. The naturally processed coffee in the blend comes out as a shot of espresso but it's lost in milk or as an Americano. Definitely more interesting than more classic espresso blends though and it is sweet and chocolaty. However, in my opinion, blends like The Answer from Cat & Cloud do a better job with this type of natural and washed coffee blend.

The first latte I made tasted very sour, I thought at first the milk was sour. After checking the milk I took a deep sniff into the Topeca bag and discovered the sourness was coming from the beans. Very possible I got a bag from a bad batch.

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. This roast has a stronger coffee flavor in a latte than the Nerve Tonic, however I'm not a big fan of the chocolate and nut taste that accompanies it. If you like chocolate or nutty coffees, you'll like this one, however it's a bit too much for my taste.
