The Ethiopia Suke Quto was carefully roasted for you by 1000 Faces Coffee Roasters. This Fully Washed coffee was grown by Tesfaye Bekele & 170 smallholder farmers in the Guji region of Ethiopia, about 2,100 meters above sea level. We're tasting nectarine, melon, pear, citrus blossom, honey, cherry, apricot, and vanilla.
This was one of the first single origin coffees that got me hooked into brewing at home. This coffee is always different and still enjoyable 7 years later. Best method to get these flavor notes was the small ceramic v60 01 (preheated), water at 202, grind was medium/fine (more on the fine side), and I used 18grams of bean. This bean is dense so it's challenging to get it to pour through by the 3:00 mark. I do a 30 second bloom and consistent small pours with 2 small spoon handle agitations. The floral melon notes are the most unique parts of this coffee. Truly elegant.
