The Ethiopia Limu Nigusse Lemma was carefully roasted for you by Barefoot Coffee Roasters. This coffee is sourced from a family-owned farm in Meto Gundb. The owner, Lemma Edeto, also mills the coffee, giving them full control of the processing up to the final export stage. Aromas of roasted nuts and cocoa powder lead to notes of dark chocolate-covered raspberries, herbal tea, and lime.
Rating reflects curators failure on my preferences more than the coffe itself (I like very citrusy light roasts and this is neither). I def get the chocolate they mention.
Good medium roast but claims to be light roast
More like 3.5 stars. It's a perfectly fine coffee, though without much complexity. The nutty flavors dominate from start to finish. The lime notes come through on occasion. The chocolate and raspberry notes mentioned by the roaster are nonexistent...at least in this batch.
I would be happy any time I'm drinking this coffee. It's got sweetness, nutty, and citrus in the same package.
This is a little roasty for me. I was worried when I opened the bag and the beans looked a little dark for my tastes. I prefer light roast and this tastes more like medium-light to me. Just a preference thing. It's an overall fine coffe and I'd probably like it better if I enjoyed medium roasted coffee more.
