The Blue Boy Blend was blended and roasted for you by Methodical Coffee. The Guatemalan component is the culmination of work by over 100 family producers in the Guatemalan municipalities of San Pedro Necta and La Libertad in the department of Huehuetenango, a region known for rugged landscapes and high elevation. The Colombian component is sourced from several small quality farms in Colombia's Tolima region. Together they form this classic, balanced blend.
Nice initial flavor and no weird after tastes. A little bolder than most medium roasts. Brewed usually as as an Americano using a Breville BES840. Also tastes great as a straight espresso shot
Husband loved this one and couldn't stop talking about it. Would love to get this again, or others like it.
sour for my taste
Not my favorite
This was a lighter roast than we’re used to, but the graham cracker flavor was enjoyable.
Best so far. Rich, medium roast, stands up well when it's brewed stronger and with a finer grind.
Not really a standout
Nice and strong with layers of chocolate. Found that I could back down the grams per cup on this one. Great blend.
I love this one! Very good blend.
By far the best espresso bean I've had.
Best so far
Too light for our taste.
Just meh on this one. It was a little to acidic for our taste.
I enjoyed the notes of brown sugar. The blend of flavors was interesting and something I enjoyed experiencing.
I initially tried this with a French press and found it bland but then tried it as an espresso and wow I was blown away with how smooth it was I had to adjust my grinder way finer than normal to accommodate it, but oh man a perfect espresso shot. I'm tempted to try French press again a bit finer and see if I can get more extraction.
Brewed with chemex. Smooth and delicious.
Coffee flavor was on the weaker side for my taste
A bit on the bland side for my taste. I prefer a richer, medium roast.
Excellent selection. All the right tasting notes, zero bitterness or funny aftertaste. I used it mostly as a cold brew coffee, but also brewed in a French press for an outstanding hot coffee. Great to have black with a sweet dessert or breakfast. Would welcome this blend again.
Smells of coffee but has no coffee flavor. No oils present in beans. Lots of dry flake in grounds. Not a lot of co2 release on initial pour. Doesn't appear to be fresh.
Not bad. Nothing stood out about it for me really.
This one we both loved - it has a strong and different enough flavor that was really interesting
Bitter aftertaste. Like darker.
cool package but I never emptied it.
I really enjoyed this coffee. Still learning coffee terms but was a nice balance of flavors.
I thought this was slightly bitter, and lacking the smoothness of the coffees we have recently received.
Wonderful, smooth blend and satisfying aroma & taste
Really well balanced!
Very smooth and not bitter. Was very good as both a French Press and in Espresso drinks. In Espresso drinks it had a very good milk chocolate flavor.
it's delicious! the descriptors chocolate, graham and brown sugar are right on!
Smooth finish and a medium body. The flavors are there but not overpowering. A little subtle for my taste but very good overall.
Really enjoyed it!
Delicious very sweet would like it to be richer
Good mouthfeel, not too smooth, not too bitter. Nice notes of chocolate and brown sugar. A bit simple - I'd like it to be richer.
This has been our favorite so far.
So good! Flavor profile really stands out and tastes great! Perfect balance between flavors and the aftertaste isn't nearly as bitter as some other coffees.
Brewed with French Press
This coffee is pretty good. It has a smoothness that makes it very drinkable. The flavor is fair, but could be a bit richer.
Excellent coffee. So smooth.
Tasted soooo smooth! Love the flavor profile!!
smooth, flavorful, well-balanced - can definitely taste the chocolate and brown sugar. good medium roast.
Great coffee with lots of flavor!
One of the best coffees I've ever tasted!
Balanced for sure. Nice, mellow up front, complex finish ( but not at all in a bad way ). I prefer it very fresh and hot....dwell time seems to be a little hard on it ( last cup of an old pot not my fav).
Overall....I am a fan
Interesting flavor but not as smooth as I like.
If I recall correctly, we found it rich and robust with flavor
Could not taste the supposed brown sugar
Loved this coffee. Warm and complex. Well balanced.
Nice, medium blend. Good depth and richness without being over-roasted.
This coffee had a bit of a bitter taste to me, other people enjoyed it and could taste the chocolate.
Awful.... medium to light roast, tasted of brown sugar/molasses, but almost no coffee flavor at all. Yuck!
Excellent blend just like all of the other reviewers have posted. The hints of chocolate are quite nice and don’t overpower the pallet. I for one like a mild coffee that awakens me in the morning gently and as such this coffee excels with such a smooth balance.
Smooth and balanced. Not very exciting but a good cup of everyday coffee.
It was good but a little too sweet. I love caramel and milk chocolate notes but perhaps not the brown sugar.
smooth and balanced flavor. Great aroma and clean finish.
Smooth and balanced
Perfect coffee for the holiday season. A good amount of graham cracker on the front end with a light acidic chocolatey finish. You keep wanting to go back and have more because of how delictable it is.
Has the most beautiful aroma while it is brewing in my French press and an absolutely exquisite flavor to match.
My wife loved it. This is a new favorite.
This is one of my favorite coffees I've tried so far, and was a big hit in my house. It was so smooth and had a really nice chocolate and graham cracker taste. The perfect coffee to motivate me to get out of bed as the days are getting shorter
