This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
The Bistro Blend was blended and roasted for you by Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co. This is a balanced, medium-bodied roast with coffees from South America, the South Pacific, and East Africa with subtle aromas of caramel, cocoa and toasted almond and a honeyed-pecan finish.
Didn't care for this one. It tasted very dark, almost burnt, even though it didn't look too dark. I couldn't manage to pull out a flavor that I could focus on other than that.
Super smooth with just the right amount of fruit and acid.
Big fan of Cafe Vita
Not great, very bitter and burned tasting when made with the same method as our other roasts.
There's an off flavor that I'm not a big fan of.
Too fruity and fragrant.
Stronger than I prefer.
Nice balance, not too complex but good cup
Nice bold flavor without being overly bitter. Loved this one
Really good BLEND! Rich and full of flavor
Good cup of coffee, but was a little too acidic for my liking.
Excellent ,enjoyed blend a lot
Great flavor with nice acidity for balance
Such a great, strong, and smooth coffee! I used a pour over system to brew and it had such a good deep coffee flavor, while still being smooth and non acidic.
Very smooth, but seems to get almost too much "bite" when the cup cools. Also, not much bloom going on with this one for some reason.
This was a great complexion of flavors. I feel that the darker flavors came out well when brewed at a lower temp, and given more time to in the water to brew. Though the overall flavor was better for me at a slightly higher temp and brewed faster. This is a great choice for French Press style coffee makers.
I really love this coffee! It goes well with all my creamers and is perfect!
Not sure what these folks are talking about when they say "bland" or "acidic"... I'm loving this coffee! Super smooth and full of flavor! One of my favorites from Mistobox!
Really liked this one on an Eva Solo, where the layers definitely came out. The pourover was pretty full-bodied as well.
Ok, not as smooth as some we have had
Pretty good...but nothing to write home about.
It was good, but a little mild.
I really like this coffee! rich and smooth. Loving my morning cup.
Fruity and acidic. This could likely be a good coffee for some people, but not for me. Too acidic.
Better than a store bought brand, but only barely. Dull. Bland.
This was not very good. I felt like the taste was about the same as a store bought brand and was very weak in the caffeine department. Not a good morning cup, which is when I enjoy my coffee.
Great balance flavored blend
Probably the most bland flavor profile of any coffee I’ve ever had. I would compare this to old Folger’s preground coffee.
Roast was a little dark for my taste, missing more subtle notes of other blends I've received in the past
Carmel and nuts, but not too sweet. Very mellow and smooth and really balanced. I really like it with the aero press.
This is the first coffee I've tried that wasn't great. I feel this one is a bit bland and dull.
The pecan taste was excellent and a great way to start the morning.
Very tasty rich without being overpowering. I would like to try some single origin with maybe a more robust flavor.
Really considering canceling after this most recent coffee. Very disappointing. Far too darkly roasted and honestly a far cry from anything craft
It is okay, it was more of a dark roast than medium.
I enjoyed this one pretty well. I didn't think it was very rich. If the richness increased x3 it would have been a 5. The caramel and nutty notes were delicious.
Extremely enjoyed this Bistro Blend. Outstanding aroma and all of my favorite notes in one. My favorite coffee so far!
Delicious, smooth, love this!
Taste generic almost similar to starbucks. Wasn't flavorful, tasted burnt.
*Disclaimer; Coffee taste is subjective. *
There are few things greater than when the smell of a fresh roast hits your nose as you 1st open the bad. This is where this coffee began to fail. The family seemed to agree. Something was off with the lack of smell for this roast. As I first brewed this coffee the smell was lacking.
However I still had high hopes. Sadly the flavor was much like the aroma. The Only flavor I could pick up on was a hint of bitterness.
If it wasn’t for my strong disliking of eating money I would have thrown the rest of this into the trash.
All that being said....My Wife liked it.
We loved it. It's so smooth in our French press, and it just tastes so interesting. Can't wait to see what else this roaster has to offer!
Not bitter, solid flavor, stands up alone. Rich would be good description. Still seeking European flavor without the bitterness seen in this country.
Was solid but not that great of flavor profile to me. Kind of bitter
I liked this one a lot, definitely in the top half of the ones I've seen so far. I definitely enjoy the caramel-chocolate-nutty character. I just like a coffee with a little darker roast.
Avg- smooth but lacks character
To weak, tasted more like tea than coffee.
Love the pecan finish!
I almost regret my other five-star ratings given how perfect this coffee is. Rich, bold, supple, and yet still imbued with flair. I will happily try this again--and any others from Caffe Vita.
It was good but not quirky enough for me.
Too acidic; woudl prefer not to get again.
Roast level was fine. Did not like as much as the first coffee. Seemed no different than beans from the grocery store. Bland. Next should be medium roast, strong aroma, low acidity, Full body.
I don't like the muted dark chocolate flavor. I tend to prefer fruity or floral notes.
Did not really care for this one. A little too harsh.
Pretty good. Didn’t love but it was a solid every day coffee.
too dark rost-like for me
I can’t explain it. Maybe because I haven’t had time to enjoy my coffee recently, but this blend left me unenthused. I didn’t pick up the caramel notes. Not bad but probably my least favorite mistobox delivery thus far.
Fantastic daily drink of coffee.
I was lucky enough to live near a cafe Vita for a bit, so this coffee was a bit nostalgic for me.
Rich and balanced, I really get the almond flavor towards the finish.
This was a pleasant, smooth coffee. It disappeared quickly! The caramel notes were subtle and made a richer flavor without tasting too nutty.
An overly complex blend that tasted a little too "roasty" for my liking.
Smooth and tasty. I'm enjoying this coffee.
Strong rich flavor,
Awesome rich flavor. Like the warm cocoa taste.
Still good but this has been my least favorite so far. There wasn't much flavor to it!
Smooth. Could be a little richer, bolder, but very enjoyable. Easy drinking with no bite.
Tasty, full bodied and very smooth.
Not as good as some of the recent coffees to my taste. I get the nuttiness but not the cocoa. Tastes a bit too “earthy” to me.
Not a fan of this one. Smell and taste not what I'm looking for.
Pretty good cup of bold but easy to drink brew. Tastes great out of the Moka-Pot or V60, especially nutty out of the Moka. Great coffee with breakfast!
I knew this coffee would be bad when I first opened the bag. The smell was horrible. I ended up making a french press and it tasted like a campfire and cigarettes.
This is a great cup of coffee. Although it describes it as a medium bodied roast, it's definitely on the darker side which i really appreciate. Not too bitter or acidic, I love the notes of almond and caramel, I thought you could test them very well. One of my favorites so far!
We had friends round and only had enough of the Bistro Blend for one jug so I purchased a bag of Giant Food own brand Guatemala High Grown whole bean coffee. We compared one mug of this coffee with the Bistro Blend and every one found that the Giant Food coffee tasted significantly better.
Nothing to note really, had better, hadn't worse.
Smooth, rich flavor. This was a much better coffee for my tastes. Not bitter, not acidic, just what I wanted.
While the Bistro Blend is good, I preferred the Verve 1950. The Bistro Blend seems stronger to me, with that little bitter, kind of acidic tang under the tongue that I don't enjoy. I'm going to try adjusting the amount of beans & water for my Chemex but unless that significantly decreases the slightly burnt flavor of the finished coffee, I would still say the 1950 was much smoother and more to my liking. Thanks a bunch - I look forward to the next batch of beans!
This was similar to the last cup but a bit more muted. It tasted a bit burnt with a slight nutty flavor.
Solid roast, a bit too bold for me
Not quite sure what it is that we didn't like. Looking at the descriptions of the different blends, we are thinking maybe we didn't like the "rich" aspect of this one. Seemed a little too dark for us.
Loved the caramel. Very nice.
Didn't get much caramel or almond in this but it is a smooth cup of coffee that's easy to get consistent results out of.
Prefer to not have darker coffees
more like this please!
Don't really taste the caramel but it is a good smooth coffee. Easy to brew a good cup.
