This is the Organic Espresso brought to you by Caffe Vita Coffee Roasting Co. A smooth, complex blend of coffees from South America, Indonesia and East Africa. The cup has aromas of chocolate, dark plum and candied almond, complimented by a creamy body, lively acidity and a lingering caramel finish.
The espresso claimed medium light, but defi itly tasted more likes a medium-dark, very reminiscent of a French roast not a fan of this one
Simple, but easy to work with
excellent for espresso
Blueberry comes through nicely in a latte.
On the light side as well, not bitter. Better as a brew coffee.
Great, creamy but complex shot. Mmmm
It was pretty good but not great. The citrus notes overpowered the nutty notes. Crema was on the low side.
So far my bag isn't complex tasting at all. It's quite bland and uninteresting- none of the chocolate, fruit, nutty, caramel, or citrus flavors advertised. Maybe this will change as it continues to off gas over the next week (currently 4 days after roast). Thankfully it doesn't have any strong off flavors either (metallic, herbal, astringent, acrid, etc). It's not a particularly enjoyable drinking experience as some other coffees are- disappointing as an espresso, and just drinkable as a cappuccino. I wish it would have a little more sweetness or something.
The citrus notes get lost a bit. Could use stronger citrus/acid
Unoriginal and bland. Vita strikes again
Dark Chocolate, a hint of tomato, a good one to try if you are making the transition from drip to espresso.
I loved how complex and interesting this coffee is. It has hints of chocolate and berries and I may taste a bit of the citrus. It's light and doesn't taste as bold, but there is quite a lot of flavor. When paired with a piece of chocolate, you can no longer taste the coffee. It brews really well for lattes.
