This is the Colombia Narino brought to you by Populace Coffee. Grown by small holder producers in the Nariño region between 1,800 - 2,200 meters, this fully washed coffee is a perfect example of why we love coffees from Colombia.This coffee has notes of caramel and molasses sweetness with a pleasant, balanced acidity of grapefruit and apples.

This was a nice balanced coffee. Once dialed in, mellow stone fruit notes came through. Not a "knock your socks off" coffee but a very serviceable daily drinker.

Delicious! One of the best cups of coffee I've had! The taste was amazing and acidity seemed low. Reminded me how much I like light roasts.

Wasn’t my favorite, decent but tasted muddled, flavor profile didn’t come through clearly. Preferred in pour-over vs. Aeropress.

An enjoyable balanced cup. Nice acidity (stone fruit tartness) at the front when hot and a little more prominent in the middle as it cools. Chocolate sweetness for majority of cup, silky mouth feel with no bitterness. Clean/light finish with a subtle tart aftertaste.

This was okay, simply because unfortunately the notes on the coffee itself do not align at all with what is described here. On the packaging itself, it is described as chocolate and lemon. I think this could have been an issue with the team here not having updated information from Populace. The description of caramel, grapefruit, apples, etc. sounds delicious but just is not what the current Narino tasting notes are.

Seems to be more chocolate, I don't want to say dirty, but just not as sharp as the Alma. More of a dark profile. Alma honey P was probably my favorite coffee so this one was at a handicap.

I found it a bit bland. Tried varying grind, dose, temp, & method (v60/French press), but couldn’t coax a ton of flavor out. Grapefruit is the most prominent note. Couldn’t get much of a roast note at all.

It's very nice, but I wouldn't say it's really a home run. Very happy to drink it every morning, but not a cup that wows me with its flavor or complexity. My 3 is conservative, and I think 4 would also be a fair rating here.

A little light smooth cup, not too acidic, subtle notes of the cherries, and chocolate as a pour over. noticed an increase of notes of lemons the older the beans got. I would have hoped for a fuller flavor, thats my only con.

what I was looking for, had good notes. I was expecting the caramel to make it "darker" but it was still quite nice and light!

This coffee was excellent. I had actually been to a Populace shop before since my relatives live in Bay City, but was glad to be seeing this roaster once more in my home! This coffee was very light, with an almost tea-like mouth feel. The acidity was well balanced and not overbearing as with some light roasts. Would recommend to anyone who likes fruity notes in their cup.

I like it a lot. Brewed with V60, Commandante MKIII, and Barista Hustle water. I'm still getting into the finer points of coffee tasting, but I found this coffee to produce a very smooth and balanced cup. I've dialed it in and the taste changes a lot during the cup. Not quite sure what the flavors were, but it went from being acidic to sweet as the cup cooled down. Overall very pleased with it.

After having my third cup, I can say there’s a sort of sweetness in this coffee. Something syrupy like molasses, but also a nice balance of acidity. It pairs really well with my toast and apricot jelly breakfast. Overall, would probably get again.

I was not a fan of this coffee; not because it was especially terrible, but because it just didn't not match my preferred profile. The roast level was pretty spot on, but I didn't love any other part of the tasting or aroma notes.

Pleasant indeed. Nice medium body with that dark sugar backbone and a touch of acidity. I didn't find a way into more demanding complexity, but this stood out as the kind of coffee you could enjoy every day.
