The Ethiopia Guji Dame Dabaye was carefully roasted for you by Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters. This coffee is from the Dame Dabaye washing station in the central Guji district of Hambela Wamena. Sibu Trading, the company that owns the washing station, has been working extensively with farmers in the Guji Zone for over 20 years. Their goal is to improve producers’ market access by shipping primarily Guji coffees to importers and roasters around the world. This coffee is a prime example of a washed process Dame Dabaye coffee, presenting distinct notes of grapefruit, passionfruit, hops and lime zest.
Chemical taste in front, delicate back, not my favorite.
This one fell a bit flat. Not the brightness I was expecting.
Muddy flavor and texture, notes were not fruity as described, but rather ashy and unclear. Tasted mostly of roast profile, despite light-mid roast rating. Lack of particular notes visible for a single-origin.
