I don't know what it was about this coffee, but I liked it so much that looking forward to making my morning coffee with it actually got me out of bed.
Haven't had a lot of experience with Guatemalan coffee, but this was quite flavorful. Took a little bit to dial it in, but once we did, it had great citrus flavor.
Coming from Ethiopia Dur Feres this is definitely not quite as pronounced or juicy. It is very good, and definitely something I really enjoy as a daily coffee, but I don't quite enjoy it as much as their Ethiopian. I was brewing as espresso using the recipe on the bag (thank you methodical for including this!).
Not quite as fragrant as the Ethiopia Dur Feres, but enjoyable nonetheless. Another great roast -- juicy and refreshing all the way to the end of the bag. I am pinning this roaster to the top of my list.
This is one of the best Guatemalan coffees I've had in some time. Very pronounced flavors, especially as the cup cools. I brew via pour-over with a Kalita Wave, between 15:1 and 16:1 water/coffee ratio and water temp at 205 degrees. After trying this and their Ethiopia Dur Feres, Methodical's becoming my go-to roaster!
I really like ethiopians. My favorite is Broadsheet Ethiopian Laayyoo. I love how fruity this one is though. It is very tasty. I am surprised but how much I like it for a Guatemalan. I still need some time to drink through the bag to know how I feel.
