Description
The Sumatra Kerinci was carefully roasted for you by Parisi Coffee Roasters. This Honey processed coffee was grown in the Mount Kerinci Highlands of Sumatra between 1,200 and 1,500 meters above sea level. The Kerinci Valley is surrounded by Kerinci Seblat National Park. More than 300,000 people live in this fertile highland valley. Almost the entire population of the valley relies on agriculture for their family income. This coffee tastes delicious brewed hot or cold!

This was my first Indonesian bean and I enjoyed the fruitiness and novelty at first. Lots of acidity (maybe too much) and lacking a little clarity and sweetness. I would have liked more balance. By the end I felt like I was forcing myself to finish the bag.

Very basic flavors, none of the fruit notes listed. A bit muddy but with slight woodiness. Not bad but not exciting.

I really enjoyed Parisi coffee before through Mistobox, and was excited to have them again and this coffee did not disappoint.

I really liked this coffee! Not as much as the light medium roast before this but still very good. Very smooth, light, and the flavors are excellent. One of the first coffee’s I’ve tasted that is light in body but not overly acidic. I may be imagining the honey-like flavor because "honey" is written on the bag, but I really enjoyed it!

Reminds me of mulled wine: very lively, tangy, and fruity. Probably not something I’d reach for every morning, but interesting to try.

VERY "WINEY". You can smell the fruitiness with the roast in the whole beans but brewed (as per spec in an Oxo drip) the only thing you get is this "non-coffee" hot drink that tastes like sour cherry (to me). Not a fan.
