The Ethiopia Neja Fadil was carefully roasted for you by PT's Coffee Roasting Co. This exclusive lot is the result of an experiment undertaken by Neja Fadil and Crop to Cup importers. They designed a special drying process protocol intended to stabilize water activity and moisture content in a more consistent and repeatable manner. This silky, floral cup opens with aromas of honeysuckle, raspberry, and cane sugar. Notes of coriander and more raspberry in the cup accompany delicate white peach sweetness, with orange pekoe tea and a hint of nutmeg emerging in the finish.
Okay. It sounded good on the profile and I was struggling to find the flavor notes so far in two of my brewing attempts. I did a 10 minute Aeropress immersion with the Fellow Prismo attachment and I used a Comadante MK4 with a finer grind setting as recommend by James Hoffman. That brew style usually helps bring out the flavor profiles but it was a bit muted. With my Flair 58 the shots are good. But I yet to dial in for pour-over. I will play around with settings again on my Kalita and V60. Maybe I need cooler temps. I was using 205 since it’s a light roasted coffee
Light fruit flavor, easy to drink. Very enjoyable, but in line with other Ethiopian's. Brewing as espresso.
