This is the Flying Monkey brought to you by PT's Coffee Roasting Co. Simple and straightforward, this coffee was intentionally blended to appeal to a wide audience of coffee lovers. Featuring notes of smooth chocolate, honey, and graham cracker, this three-bean medium roast espresso blend creates a beautiful harmony of flavors with enough depth to show off in long milk drinks.
This one was good. We are. liking more the soft and smooth
Solid option. Sweet. Though I want to taste more bitter complementing notes.
This was great, balanced. My favorite so far!
Good does good espresso
, Jessica like it
I’d like to try some medium to lighter roasts.
Okay. Not organic.
Good all around coffee.
It was a bit light and more on the bitter side.
loved it! One of our favorites! send again please!
Quality coffee, great taste.
easy to enjoy!
The best I thought was the best.
Well balanced nice notes.
This one another one of my favorite coffees.
I love the honey and graham cracker flavor, but I felt like it was a bit too subtle. I probably only noticed it because I knew what flavor it was supposed to be. That said, graham cracker and honey are definitely good flavors for future coffees.
It’s coffee. It’s not bad but it’s nothing special.
An excellent espresso, did great in our Breville Barista Express.
This coffee is decent, but I would prefer a darker roast
we love PTs!
Good flavor, wish it were stronger
Excellent coffee all the way around!!!
Although the beans worked well in my superautomatic, I thought the flavor had little depth.
Smooth, we enjoyed this one.
Lovely blend, very balanced.
This deserves a great. The ‘chocolate, honey, graham cracker’ notes are moderately unique enough to be worthy of the exploration trail. It’s also more subtle than I would have liked in a latte (6 oz). I also found the shot extracted at 24 sec for reference.
Bitter compared to previous coffee.
This has been one of my favorites so far.
This is a good bean. Gets better as it ages from roast on date. Followed roaster’s recommendation, but needed a much coarser grind (15) on the Breville Barista Pro, when dosing at 20g to get a yield of 38-42g. Went down to grind size 11 with a dose of 18g. You can taste the graham cracker notes towards the end of the latte. Only used for milk based drinks. Would try again.
The caffeine level is higher than I like, but the flavor is excellent.
The balance was great
Prefer more complexity
Did not like
Jinoy & Sheena
Good, solid espresso. I was able to pull a decent shot with nice crema on top. It made a smooth cappuccino and a delicious oat milk latte.
I guess I'm struggling here, but I'm really trying to find a dark, bold espresso to make in my new Breville espresso maker and my first two picks were much too light. I'm hoping third time will be a charm, so I leave it up to you to pick, because when I've picked on my own, I've failed miserably.
Delicious, but a bit light
Graham cracker was spot on for tasting notes. Loved how versatile this coffee was between fine and corse grinds with differing aeropress methods.
This one was pretty good; not the most memorable but made for a good cup of coffee. It was smooth, not bitter, and made really excellent iced lattes. The packaging was cute too.
This lacked flavor and body, disappointing for a darker roast.
This was good too. Not too acidic for my wife. I'd prefer something a little more complex though. Not oily which is good for super automatic espresso machines.
Very nice balance and coffee taste. It could be a touch stronger.
Loved it, so smooth, tastes great
Good easy drinking coffee. Acidity felt appropriate even without milk.
This one is yummy! Easily one of my favorites. I think the sweetness is done right in this espresso!
Decent flavor and aroma but too weak. Calling this “Espresso” is a misnomer. I indicated when I signed up that I like Dark Roast but this is a Medium Roast. Please please please if it doesn’t say DARK ROAST on the bag I don’t want it. Thank you!!
Greatest coffee ever
Couldn't get a good taste out of this one no matter what brewing method I tried
Good tasting coffee, but for an espresso roast I was hoping for something a little darker.
I liked this one cold brewed with a splash of cream over ice. (1:16, 24 hours in fridge)
I didn’t realize my grinder was set too fine for cold brew, so I bet I’d love it black if I had brewed it right.
Good for a medium roast
Fantastic coffee, nice balance of notes, goes extremely well with milk.
Didn’t love it, not my personal taste. Seemed to have a floral/herbal, light flavor.
Good flavor. I like it.
A great coffee that was smooth with honey notes.
This was the first bag I've had in a long time that I didn't enjoy. Hard to say exactly why - still getting good shots from it but the flavor is not very round.
It gets the job done brews beautifully crema is lovely
Needless to say it's espresso and I usually forget that fact when I brew so it's super bitter. However when I get it right, it's definitely worth it. Pour over is better than drip brew through a machine. Once again of course I'm a sugar and cream kinda guy but this flavor is worth tasting black! "The flavor is strong in this one lol"
Enjoyed this one. It was not particularly dynamic but very tasty and I enjoyed each glass of cold brew made with this. Would drink again.
It was good, but I was hoping it would feel fuller/stronger.
Good tasting coffee definitely but feel like its not good for espresso. Not strong enough when making lattes. Overall still good!
Nothing really jumped out at me.
Brewed in the Ratio 8 coffee maker. 55g beans, medium grind (24/40 - Baratza Encore). 1.2L of water.
Really loved this one. Bold flavor, would love more from this brand
I like Flying Monkey Espresso coffee very much and would like to receive it again on my next delivery.
I am making this as espresso and it has nice flavor but is not quite as full bodied and bold as I like.
My favorite bean to date! I make lattes and this is so comforting. It has given me my best flavor to date.
