The Ethiopia Worka Chelbessa Yirgacheffe was carefully roasted for you by Sightglass Coffee. Produced by the Worka Chelbessa station at 1,900-2,200 meters, this Fully Washed coffee is a perfect example of why we love coffees from Ethiopia. This washing station is owned by Negusse Debela and services 486 small hold farmers in the Gedeb area of Yirgacheffe.
I love the flavors here! Very fruity and sweet, and perfectly easy to dial in with my clever dripper.
Almost 5 stars
Great nose and decent cup. I like a little more body, but understand this is a single origin and not a blend. Would definitely recommend.
Wow.......this blew my socks off. Wonderful aroma and rich flavor
This blend was divine. Really enjoyed the flavor.
Another great one, maybe not our top but close
Very good bold, full flavored coffee
Floral, berry fruit, light sweetness
Wow! The flavors of this coffee are incredible. This coffee will definitely increase my daily consumption. I give this six stars!
It's a lovely and balanced.
It’s fine coffee but a bit too bland
It was pretty good.
Almost no bloom at all this said it was shipped to me on the 4th but the roasting date says roasted on the 5th how can that be, it makes me question the roast date. Anyway maybe the next bag I order may be a little better. Thanks Bo
Fruity and complex.
Quality Yergacheffe! It has the vibrant profile of almost a natural process coffee without being too outlandish to enjoy in milk drinks and other more traditional brew methods. Love it.
Fruity, yet delicate mouthfeel
Maybe the best coffee ever. Please send this as often as possible
Want to try this one again ‐ only had it on drip
I got this one to test out the 'opposite' of the last coffee I ordered. Definitely not a fan of the fruitier descriptions at least judging from this. Good coffee but not my favorite. I was shocked that I could actually smell the peach on coffee beans! Not bad not great.
Great smooth taste
It's quite good! The peach comes out very strongly, for me especially when brewed in an iced pourover (see James Hoffman's video on that). It's very refreshing, which is awesome. I really don't know what boysenberry or elderflower taste like, so can't say much there.
Smooth, floral, easy to dial in, consistent
Ok not great
I remember enjoying it, but can't really remember any notes I have for it.
Berry/cherry notes, peach pit bitterness. Toasted grain. Quite good if a bit darker flavors than other Ethiopian coffees though still balanced.
Nice peachy aroma, slight berry, maybe even peanut?? Extremely clean mouthfeel, bright peach acidity, very juicy. Floral notes come out slightly in the aftertaste. A nice brew iced as well.
Light and floral
Wasn't really a fan, too bitter
Ethiopian Yirgacheffe's are fast becoming my favorite coffee. This one is fabulous and makes for an absolutely fabulous Cappuccino.
this was a little disappointing for what it promises, honestly... it was definitely a bit on the bitter end of the spectrum, not really what I expected from an ethiopian with only floral and fruity notes listed. Overall I think this fails to deliver. If you want what is advertised I would keep looking.
Good flavor overall. Nice finish. Just a hint of bitterness, or this might by a 5 star.
Super delicious, light and tasty! We haven't quite enjoyed other roasts from this roaster, but this one was much nicer.
It was good. Tasted darker than I like. Maybe I needed to adjust grams to less.
very good favor
Full bodied and delicious
Great flavor! Like the smooth texture in the chemex
perfect balance of fruit and nutty notes
I loved this coffee. I grinded it at medium-fine for brewing in the Kalita Wave 155, and the normal extraction time was around 3:15-3:30. The floral notes really popped.
