This is the Skeleton Key Decaf brought to you by Huckleberry Roasters. The Skeleton Key Decaf is a rotating offering of naturally decaffeinated coffees using the Water Decaffeination method that emphasizes sweetness and drinkability, no matter what time of day. This coffee is excellent on its own and just as tasty with a splash of cream and sugar. Round and versatile, this coffee has notes of chocolate and nuts and is perfect to enjoy after dinner, or whenever you're craving coffee without the jitters.

Probably the best decaf I've tasted, doesnt taste overroasted in the slightest. The choclate and nuttyness comes clearly through. Has a wonderful sweetness is really great for those 8pm drinks

Not bad, but not as interesting of a flavor profile as the other decafs I have tried. Far exceeds coffee shop decaf but not one I would pick again.

Really well balanced and had more light and fruity notes the provided flavor profile would suggest. It is worth noting that this is actually decaffeinated through the ethyl acetate method, they seemed to switch from using the water method mentioned in the description on this site. This really helps this coffee excel as the water methods frequently tend to mute the unique flavors of the coffee beans

I really liked this coffee a lot. In my top 3 for decaf. Seemed well balanced, not overly roasted. Not particularly distinctive, but a great blend.

My mistake ordering decaf,
I thought I ordered caffeinated.
The beans had very little fragrance or flavor, is this normal for decaf??

This is not a very good coffee. I know this is a pretty good roaster, so, I’m going to assume it is just because it’s a decaf roast.

Perhaps due to decaffination, not very complex, and although chalky chocolate/nut comes through, an extended distasteful (so to speak) residue on the aftertaste. Too many homonyms, but that about covers it. ,

Decaf drinkers rejoice. I love the fruity, sweeter favors of the lighter roasts - which is almost impossible to find. Decaf has always been just a substitute for the real thing. Skeleton Key is by far the best decaf I have found for the sweeter favors of coffee. Definitely cherries, chocolate, nuts. It's well rounded and complex. Brewed with a French press, course grounds. Would absolutely buy again.

Very Good medium dark roast.

I've been drinking this brewed with both Aeropress and pour over methods and it is perhaps a little too dark or bitter for my taste. I find myself adding honey or sugar to drink this even though I normally prefer just a splash of milk or black.
