This is the Colombia La Piramide brought to you by Tandem Coffee Roasters. This Fully Washed coffee was grown between 1,700 and 2,000 meters above sea level by 300 farmers in the Inzá region of Colombia.
I liked it but didn’t love it. It was very nice and sweet but lacking a bit of acidity and some more unique flavors.
Really creamy. Some coffee just tastes of "coffee". This tastes like dessert. A pleasant change.
I found my coffee
Less apple than you would think
My favorite one so far this year.
My favorite of the 3 we have received so far! Excellent choice!
I expected Colombian to be over roasted, but this was very enjoyable, more like I expect from a Central American coffee. Which shows I've still a lot to learn - fun!
given the reviews i really expected a fruit-forward zing. Maybe a bad batch was roasted at some point because like some other reviewers this one was harsh, bitter, and all-around unpleasant for me.
Very tasty! More of this!
Not a bad coffee, but really not something that I loved either. I actually found it rather boring. The tasting notes are pretty on the nose, actually with a strong red apple front and sugar cane sweetness. However, it's just a bit out of balance in that it's heavy apple-forward, and the sweetness doesn't lead to anything. It's a really easy coffee to drink, but I just find it way too one note. Definitely not a bad coffee, but perhaps not my cup of tea.
Good not great. Not as bright as I'd like, I like the crisp finish on my coffee's if that helps at all.
I’ve never had a bad cup of Tandem coffee. Thanks for including their unique approach.
Not enough sweetness to it for what seemed more like a light roast.
Finish is a little too harsh for me. Almost bitter tasting.
It’s light but very flavorful. I love the notes and texture
Maybe it was just me, but I found this one to be a little bitter. The roast is a tiny bit darker than I usually would like.
excellent coffee, really enjoyed
My husband and I loved this coffee; smooth, good flavor.
Good Coffee very smooth light acidity
Very good, has a sweet finish
Like the fruity taste
This was several weeks ago, so the memory of specific taste is absent at the moment, but I do remember enjoy this one.
Really delicious coffee; tart with a sweet finish. Enjoyed brewing in my Hario.
Good apple and sugar notes with a nice aroma. Had a hard time getting a lot of body out of it.
This coffee took 6 days in transit, so it's possible the hot Texas summer had already ruined it before it arrived at my house. I'd like to try it closer to the source. In any case, what I received was not great; notes of black tea and lemongrass, with a sharp acidity and rough finish. Note that this is a very dense bean, so extract with finer grinds, higher temps, and bed agitation (if applicable to your method).
A good coffee. I had to increase the amount to get enough flavor for me.
One of the best ones so far
Really nice flavor. Smooth and easy drinking
Brewed with V60. Definitely tasted red apple notes, good amount of sweetness. Overall, enjoyed coffee.
When hot the coffee is a little bitter and doesn't have the best aftertaste. After it cools a little bit some of the more fruity flavor comes out, but it is very subtle. I prefer stronger flavors.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. I've not had great luck with Columbian coffees in the past, but this was very flavorful and smooth.
This has likely been our favorite coffee so far. The bright flavors with the full bodied taste have been easy to brew and pleasant to drink each and every time. It has a lot of the fruit forward flavors which we tend to enjoy.
Really nice coffee with deep honey and molasses tastes.
Really great coffee - I can't always pick up the same notes that the roaster describes, but in this case the suggested notes of red apple and sugar cane were incredibly obvious and delicious.
Looking for something fruitier
Love the acidity, but my wife is almost killed me. We need to lower down the acidity level. And use more seasonal coffee. I mean countries like Rwanda, Burundi,Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, Honduras.
Please advice best from any of the following:
1) Rwanda Nyampinga Women's Cooperative - SISTERS
2) Rwanda Tumba - Camber
3) Burundi Nemba - Verve
4) Burundi Turihamwe - Temple
5) Honduras Las Capucas - Coava
6) Brazil Sitio Baixadão - Sisters
7) Brazil Sitio Santo Antonio - Huckleberry
8) Peru Yoel Samaniego - Ruby
Really good combo of what my wife likes and me. Totally happy with it! But my favorites are def more fruity.
Decent but didn't blow my mind.
Typical Tandem - they knocked it our of the park.
Excellent, one of my favorites
Smooth and light from the start. I did find the sugar cane and red apple notes and would get this again.
Good, but nothing really interesting or exciting about the flavor profile.
Very acidic aftertaste which overtakes any of the coffee flavor. Not a fan....
We made this coffee freshly ground in a french press making roughly 32oz at a time.
Overall we liked this blend, but I will say it was a tad bit too bitter for my liking. It also seemed to be higher in caffeine then other blends I've had. Sometimes I could not complete a fully cup due to getting overcaffeinated/jittery.
Compared to the Blueboon, this was more bitter and a little too caffeinated.
Flavor was great though and I would drink it again, maybe just using less beans in each press.
Excellent. Best so far. Better than San Sebastian.
It’s unfortunate the coffee never arrived at my house. Due to COVID and the holiday season
Loving this as a pour over.
This was an amazing coffee! Super sweet and crisp, and when made on the Gold standard on my brewer, just amazing to sip it black. Really enjoyed the juicy sugarcane note and overall a great coffee. Absolutely loved it!
