This is the Back 40 Blend brought to you by Tony's Coffee. If you’re seeking a thoroughly full-bodied, robust coffee experience, this is the blend for you. It doesn’t pull any punches. Impressively strong and smoky with a dark chocolate finish.
Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea
A strong blend that is Smokey and easy to grind. I got more flavor in the French press.
The smokey notes are great! Not an every day coffee, but good for a change of pace.
Very good coffee!
Dark and rich, no bitterness or sourness. Exactly the kind of coffee I love.
Fabulous! Search is over!
Really loved this one it was dark and flavorful. The beans are oily which may bug some but this was a first for us and did not bother us. It blended well with our almond milk creamer and worked will in our French press and re-usable Kcup
Oily and rich
Good, would drink again, not as good as the Italian
Best one yet. Love how dark it is

4.5. Very tasty. Thanks
Too dark for my liking. No nuance to the flavor.
super awesome. dark shiny beans
great coffee, lover the rich dark color and flavor, what is the bean blend
love this one
It's a very bold flavor but to smoky for taste
Great, just a little too smoky for my tastes.
Very smoky. Full bodied. Not alot of flavor.
Very very tasty
having a hard time getting ratio right, bit too strong for my tastes
It tasted burnt
Too dark, smoky, bold for us
I thought it was tasty but almost too dark.
This was fantastic!! Smoky finishing sweet. Love this. One of my favorites.
Excellent coffee! I finished reading The Blue Bottle Craft of Coffee. I now weigh 20 g of coffee. Grind on 10 which is on the coarse end of the espresso range (0 to 14). Brewed on mark 2 of the Aero Press with 180 F water for 60 seconds. Pressed through and added 180 F to about 10 ounces total volume.
One of the best home brewed coffee's I've had. Rich flavor, bold aroma, smooth taste
Not great flavor - very strong - acidic
Dark and rich. Oily, which I adore. Smooth. Strong. Delicious.
A bit smoky for my taste, so I blended it with my favorite coffee here at home and the result was perfect. It added a bit of boldness that worked out fine!

When I signed on with my latest gift subscription, I said I did not like dark and wet beans. This pick was dripping with wetness. I feel this pick was a waste of one of my taste samples. Please do not send me wet beans.
When grinded, coffee turned almost black and left residue in my drip pot. It felt grainy. Good smell but undetected flavors.
Not as good as the Dillanos Special Dark Blend
Nice flavor. Strong, but not bitter. Please send this one again!
Too strong. Not a fan of the extra dark roast
This is more like it. Thanks.
Very rich, dark, strong. We love this with just a touch of creamer. Perfect for the cold morning we've been having lately!
It was a bit too dark for my liking
I absolutely loved this coffee and it might be one of my favorites so far! Very rich, dark, and smooth with very little bitterness. Excellent coffee!
Full bodied, delicious and dark. So far, this has been my favorite. The beans glisten and I can't wait to drink my first cup, then I savor each cup until I'm through.
We love a dark coffee, but this is too dark even for us.
Coffee with a great flavor, but with a bite at the end. This coffee was not as notable as the previous ones received.
It might be because this reached me over a month after being roasted, but it confirmed that I don't like dark roasts any more.
A little too smoky for me
I don't like a roast this dark. The coffee was too burnt (not literally, I don't think the beans were over roasted, just not my flavor). Also the beans were so oily I had to stir them to get them through my grinder.
My first brew was too bitter to taste any nuances. My second brew wasn't as bitter, but it's probably too dark for my preference.
Very very good

Way too dark and not enjoyable. Almost like drinking a glass of liquid smoke. Had to dialed down the amount of beans to make it palatable.
It was good, I like dark roast, but it was even a bit too dark for me
