This is the Blacksmith Espresso brought to you by Quills Coffee. Blacksmith Espresso is Quills' flagship espresso blend, used in all of their cafés. The name represents their ongoing dedication to refinement, inherent to the craft of making great espresso. Currently comprised of coffees from Brazil, Peru, and Colombia, this blend is delicious as a double shot or in milk. Additionally, it will perform well as a go-to drip coffee for those that enjoy a slightly more developed roast. We taste dark chocolate, cherry and vanilla with a rich, creamy body.

This is the best espresso I've received so far. I absolutely LOVE it. And it's been very forgiving, too - what I mean by that: I've tried a few different grind strengths and adjusted my tamping as well, and every cup has tasted perfect to me - balanced, sweet, smooth, no hint of bitterness whatsoever. This is my kind of espresso, for sure. More like this, please!! I'd give it 6 stars if I could. I wonder if I prefer South American beans to African ones? I know my wife has that preference in her drip coffee.
Very finicky to grind. Medium body and tasty.
I found this coffee had some cherry/stone-fruit notes. I didn't get much citrus beyond the subtle acidity at play. I wasn't a big fan of the fruitiness. A single shot didn't hold up to the milk in lattes, but a double/triple tended to fare better. The coffee was smooth on its own and developed a nice crema right out of the group head.

Sad to say this bag is almost gone! It was incredibly smooth with virtually no bitterness. A tart lingering aftertaste that reminds you that coffee comes from fruit and is not an actually bean! hope for more espresso close to this maybe with some more berry like notes!
Solid but not outstanding. It makes a decent espresso, but really suffers in almost any other preparation (I know, it says espresso in the name).
Good rich espresso with a nice acidity.
With a small splash of milk this is a terrific cup of coffee every time.
