The Colombia Finca Las Florestales Maximino Gutierrez was carefully roasted for you by Sightglass Coffee. This Fully Washed coffee was grown between 1,600 and 1,800 meters above sea level in Tolima, Colombia and was produced by Maximino Gutierrez at Finca Las Florestales.
So-so. Ground unevenly and had to increase the amount per cup to get any kind of flavor from it. "Lively" definitely seems a wrong descriptor.
Burnt and undrinkable. Highly disappointed. A big black eye to Mistobox. Until we get our next order, it's either this or nothing
Overroasted, ashy beans. Drinkable with the right settings and brewer (Chemex, medium-fine), but not very far off from a bag of Starbucks.
This coffee was just alright. Not bad, but not great. It definitely wasn't as light as we thought it would be. It's hard sometimes because each roaster is labeling the lightness of their roasts and that can be so different from region to region.
Just ok. Good espresso but nothing exciting.
It’s ok. Drinkable but nothing to be too excited about.
I was not a fan of the green grape notes. Too acidic.
it was ok, nothing special, would prefer not to get again
Amazing; my fav so far
Super balanced and tasty!
Excellent! Smooth, balanced, bright flavor. Not too bitter. I really enjoyed this one. More like this, please...
Bright but not too acidic, nicely balanced
Black currant came out more in the espresso but not as lively as either pour over or espresso. Enjoyed it most in milk-based espresso drinks.
I really wanted to like this one. Due to problems with shipping I was able to try to separate batches of the same roast profile and was hoping the first one was just a mediocre roast, unfortunately the second bag confirmed the findings of the first. It's not a bad coffee, it's just rather flat. After playing with different temperatures and grind sizes we've found that in our v60 it's best at a medium grind with a low water temp. This will bring out more of the juiciness and a hint of acidity.
Not great. Muddy and not complex
Similar to many coffee roasts that are available in California as a washed process. Just was rather unremarkable to me, since I am from Sacramento, CA and used to having these.
Oh I died a d went to heaven! Thank you Sight Glass.
It's a little bit too light. Beautiful and delicate but a tiny bit too light for a morning coffee
This was the worst coffee we’ve ever had from mistobox. It tasted over roasted, bland, had zero flavor profile and was basically undrinkable. I typically enjoy Colombia coffees as they’re nice a subtle flavors foe the morning but this one was a disaster. My wife adds cream and honey to her coffee and even through all of that, she mentioned it tasted burnt and bland.
The coffee was decent but I felt it was a little more developed than what I prefer.
Hard to brew. Bitter taste with thin aroma. Taste like dried beans.
Unfortunately though it was marked delivered, I did not receive the coffee..
