Description
The Colombia Martha Reina Bourbon Ají was carefully roasted for you by Goshen Coffee Company. Fleeing violence in their hometown, Martha and her husband Julio relocated to Pitalito, Huila and purchased Finca Agua in 2010. Today, Martha is known for creating some of the best coffees in Colombia, including this rare lot of the Bourbon Ají variety.

MUCH darker than expected; was hoping for a light roast with notes of grapefruit and jasmine - but apparently "juicy" and "tealike" do not describe this coffee; more like "bold" and "heavy" and medium-roast.

Lovely subtle flavors

Stunning so far over aeropress. Beans rested an extra week and expect them to get better over the next few. Cleaner than expected but just the right amount of “funk” with the fermentation. Good acid after cooling off in the cup too.
