This coffee will be fresh roasted for you. We expect 1000 Faces Coffee will roast and ship this coffee in 1-2 business days depending on their roasting schedule.
This is the Espresso Savio Blend brought to you by 1000 Faces Coffee. The Savio is an unusual espresso blend because it is made up primarily of sweet, dense, high-grown coffees that are roasted specifically to perform well when prepared as espresso. This coffee is comprised of washed coffees from Guatemala and Ethiopia. This cup is fantastically complex, with notes of chocolate, brown sugar, baking spice, apple, orange and berries.
Really enjoyed the lighter nature of the roast, really nice fruit and acid. Great for my Americano!
Solid. Got a good amount of chocolate and toasty, brown sugar notes. There's a fair amount of acid but it didn't translate into fruit notes for me.
It had a very "neutral" taste.. I could not tell the different distinct flavors in it.
This coffee was fantastic. Light and fruity with lovely acidity while retaining a full bodied depth of flavor perfect for espresso. This coffee was hella on point.
Still a smooth coffee. Not sure we liked this one as much as the first - but still enjoyed it. We like the medium roasted coffees.
I don't really have much to say about this coffee but its very good. I like the fruity sweet flavor But I do wish that is was more earthy. I just don't think it does well with a French Press brew.
Not good. Tasted too toasty
Solid coffee, but the shipping was over a week late. Mistobox even reached out to me to say sometimes usps doesnt get updated The roast date was after the day that email was sent though...
This is frustrating because I forgot I changed my shipping frequency, So my next coffee showed up a few days later. Now I have fresh expresso beans not being used. The point of this membership for me is new coffee and freshness. This is not the first time I have been frustrated with shipping. I wish mistobox would keep their roasters in check.
I have not received this coffee :(
Really light. Not a fan of the citrusy taste.
We really liked this. Somewhat earthy and very smooth. Perhaps we'd prefer something a little more full bodied but we certainly enjoyed the subtle flavors.
The apple notes were a little strange for me. Not my favorite.
I really enjoyed this espresso. Dark chocolate was very pronounced, but didn't find anything fruity or complex. The sweetness was mild and went well with the dark chocolate. I'd likely purchase it again in the future.
Not as flavorful as I was expecting, still tasty but didn't have the depth of flavors that I was hoping.
This was a great espresso. Balanced and there was a slight apple note that shone through which I really liked.
Seth - this was ridiculous! Anything else like it? Let's make that next!
Notes of chocolate and fruitiness, not quite bold and nutty enough for me.
This is definitely my favourite one so far. I'm surprised how chocolatey it is while also not being too heavy! Can't wait to try the next one
It was a good coffee, not overly strong.
I liked it.
I only ot this to taste right when using my espresso machine. I didn't like the way it tasted with my French Press or Hario. Tasted a bit on the burnt side.
Love this blend, it had a delicious rich chocolate flavor. I got great extractions which I enjoyed in my lates
Great flavor in my espresso machine.
Better than the last one. Not over-roasted. Delicious.
Good overall blend which I found quite rich and sweet for espresso and yet versatile enough for my pourovers and my recently acquired Aeropress.
Another great blend. Great aroma; great flavor. A nice full bodied, chocolate and fruity bean!
This has been our favorite so far
Unfortunately I had to try this 4 months after roast because Mistobox's system undid my subscription hold (quadruple checked it). That being said, I was quite satisfied with this coffee. Definitely enjoyed the fruit flavors. I can see that it would probably be quite delicious with a fresh roast!
Received quickly and am enjoying these beans. The roast is bold and sits nicely on the palate after each drink. I am getting a nice deep dark chocolate plus earthy tones. It makes a perfect latte. Not sure if would be too strong as straight espresso, but it could be my preference. I am very much enjoying. Thank you,
I really wanted to like this coffee, I've had 1000 faces at a coffee shop in Asheville, so maybe it was a different blend! I'm not usually one to complain, but this blend was pretty bad. I usually get good crema, and after pulling several shots and dialing it in, it did not get any better. It tasted almost stale and had very earthy tones! I did not get the berry tones or the complex flavors at all. :/
I wanted to update my review for this coffee. I originally gave it a 2 star, but on the 5th day this coffee took a turn! Surprisingly the flavors bloomed and I could taste a little fruitiness. So I enjoyed it the last couple of days. :)
Excellent flavor complexity as a straight shot. Works nicely with foamed milk for strong cortados or more mild lattes.
Was ok, bit too bright for my tastes and a bit finicky to dial in.
Great all around.... A nearly perfect daily coffee.
I didn't find this coffee as complex as the package made it seem. And I also did not pick up on the berry notes as much as I would like. For that reason, I found it somewhat bland for my taste. I would prefer something with stronger berry notes.
Sweet, caramel notes, delicious!
tasted ok - nothing special. Didn't get any of the complexity in the description.
Average with no real distinctive qualities to me.
Very creamy, but not particularly thick. Very light flavor aside from the creaminess.
Very light crema. Tasted a little too acrid for my taste.
nice. Need more body and boldness
Great espresso - well balanced
Whole bean has a caramel and earthy fragrance. Once ground it becomes more like a spice smell. Lattes are sweet with a hint of leafy under tones.
Different beast after four days from roast. More complex flavors in the cup.
It was ok, i find that it has spicier notes that I usually enjoy, gingerbread and pumpkin bread notes, but something seemed unbalanced here. I wanted to like it more but just couldn't. Also lacked the crema I usually am able to achieve. more like a 2.5/5...
Pulled from a La Pavoni Romantica
very sweet, good aroma. Its been pretty tempermental day to day, but then again I'm not equipped to make actual espresso.
This is the first time I have discovered this feed back page. I went back and rated the coffees I have received. this coffee has good mild flavor. I brew it from fresh grind beans using 3 level scoops and 3 cups of water in a Couisinart coffee maker.
The best beans I have received so far. I love the denseness of each cup. This is just as good in the clever press or chemex as it is in the aeropress.
I'm sure many people love this blend but i find it to fruity and spicy. I was disappointed because I love Guatemala and Ethiopia coffees but I'm a purest I just want a nicely roasted coffee and nothing else.
