Quality of the bean was bad. The coffee didn't taste fresh. Didn't develop that zesty tase of lemon I was expecting. And the flavor was more opaque than bright as described
I dont want to say it was bad, but I never got a cup that tasted great. Could just be the lot I got. It lacked flavor, tasted woody even at very course settings.
Not my favorite. Couldn’t get a great flavor out of it. Inconsistent too.
Honestly, this is the first coffee I’ve had in a long time that I’m really not a fan of at all. I’ve tried it as espresso, pour over, and even cold brew, and no matter how I make it there’s a really grassy and sour note that just won’t go away and ruins the flavors. Seems like this batch may have been under roasted.
On a roll here with these coffees! This onr oddly enough has that green bean flavor that on the surface sounds weird but it works, and I love it. Sort of earthy but not really and yet sort of taste like fresh picked herbs but with some fruity undertones...I really enjoyed this and look forward to trying more of Metric coffees from Ethiopia - well Done Metric - chemex H2O temp 195ish 16:1 ratio.
