I thought it was a really solid cup of coffee, wasn't knocked off my feet, but it was consistent and made really solid coffee. Generally brewed with aeropress, although did a few cups with v60, and it produced a nice cup both ways.
i enjoyed the balanced taste. it is a good coffee for someone looking for the chocolate flavor. i prefer more fruit-forward notes
Good coffee, but not amazing. It was fine, but lacked complexity of flavors.
Smooth taste, not bitter at all. pleasant aroma. Not overpowering in taste. Slight chocolate tones present.
Meh. Really nothing special
Enjoyed it but prefer something brighter. In general I like bright coffees that give a "zip" when drinking
Brewed as V60 or Cheney, I found the flavor profile be good, but nothing memorable. Overall, a solid cup of coffee served black.
Excellent espresso. One of my favorites so far.
This was good. I am still trying to figure out how to make a good cup of coffee but this is a great first pick by these guys.
Loved it fresh as pour over, also perfect for cold brew. This was so good that I haven't been willing to share it with anyone.
Great roast. Balanced flavors. I loved it so much I bought one direct.
Ok. Not the best.
Being new to 'home' espresso, this turned out very good (when I managed to pull in the 27/32 second range). Looking forward to trying others!
Really smooth coffee that does not require creamer or milk for me. I brew on Gold standard brewing in my Breville and the coffee comes out perfect for me to drink. Love that its a bit sweet and a bit nutty. Love it!
Never was quite able to dial this one in. Even in the chemex the clarity wasn’t quite what I wanted. I’m sure it’s user error
It was a nice light and smooth balanced coffee in both drip coffee maker and french press. Slight biscuit flavor although maybe a bit mild.
I really enjoyed having a light roasted coffee from this region and from this new roaster. I tend to only buy African sourced beans and so it was a pleasant surprise to give this one a whirl and to enjoy it so much!
It was a bit too light/flavorless
It was good. Wasn't the best I have had and definitely far from the worst.
Hands down one of the best coffees I've ever tasted. I don't usually go for Guatemala as an origin but this coffee has changed that. Couldn't get enough.
Good balanced cup that was light and not too acidic.
I thought I tasted some butterscotch or toffee in this one. It is pretty nice. I thought I requested all natural process coffees when I signed up, though. There's something that I can't quite put my finger on with natural process. It's like a juiciness in the flavor and something that almost feels thicker or more viscous mouthfeel wise. Washed coffees sometimes taste to me like there is a bitterness and/or shallowness to the flavor, almost similar to a soup that would benefit from a little butter and salt.
Had nice chocolate notes. Balanced but rather simple.
Tasty light roast with a nice tartness. Not the most unique flavor but enjoyed it nonetheless!
This coffee was a bit to sour for me. The notes didn’t seem to stand up to the sourness. It was overpowering.
Good flavor. Smooth and mellow. I like more pronounced flavors in my coffees, but this is a good palate cleanser between more adventurous roasts.
Smooth and balanced. Enjoyed.
Really loved this pick. It brewed well in both the drip method and french press. Full flavored body without a finish that lingered too long.
Not very flavorful, kind of bland.
Loved the roast level, all around good coffee. I prefer fruitier coffees though. Super good though
It’s alright. Not as bright as I would have hoped but still enjoyable.
Flavor was decent, a bit monotone. But, boy oh boy, this packed a punch of caffeine.
Brewed for latte's and cappuccino's. Very smooth, no hints of bitterness. Definitely a slight chocolate taste, but I failed to extract the apple taste. Would recommend for a smooth, semi-sweet espresso.
It was good, not as good as some of the African single origins, but better than some of the darker espresso's I've had.
Bright and tasty. We enjoyed it hot and cold.
Still getting used to making tasting notes on coffee. Loved this Good Folks bag. Smooth and medium body that I enjoyed via Chemex. Would definitely have again or drink similar!
Missing the complex chocolate notes that southern Mexican and Central American tend to benefit from.
Incredible, round, silky
Great roast with some development of darker roast flavors but not over roasted with light body from pour over and red fruits acidity in the aroma but lower acidity in the cup and flatter flavor than expected.
Excellent milky body, flavor works well both as espresso and brewed. Profile tends a bit sharp and sour on the finish but also balanced with a decent chocolates sweetness.
Didn't love this one.
This one worked really well for cold brew
Very good, balanced and bright. Want a touch more clarity. Very happy though.
Really bright. Slightly lacking in body
Wasn’t very bright, seemed like a normal old coffee.
Delicious! Fresh, light and full of flavor. No unpleasant acidity at all. Would buy again!
This was so flavorful but delicate at the same time. I could drink this all the time and never get tired of it.
Like that it tastes fresh.
Well balanced, love the milk chocolate flavor.
I originally gave this coffee a 3 star rating only because of a long lasting aftertaste. After much thought, I decided to change it to a 4 star based on taste alone. The flavor is way to good for a 3 star. The aftertaste is a small price to pay for a very good cup of coffee.
Great for a flavorful afternoon cup. I usually like deeper flavor notes for the morning.
Not as pronounced flavors as I was hoping for.
A solid array of flavors. Nicely heavy on the end, but not overpowering.
Roasted darker than I would want in a light roast. Overall doesn't seem to be the quality level of an exclusive tier coffee.
