This is the Organic Ethiopia Sidamo Shantewene brought to you by Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters. This natural processed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Sidamo in Ethiopia and was produced by Daya Bensa, a coffee grower and exporter located 1,900–2,217 meters above sea level. This Shantawene coffee is named after the village, where the majority of the people, many of them women, work on the coffee farm. Delivered coffee cherry comes from various small growers higher up the mountain located between 2,000 and 2,400 meters above sea level.
I'm a tea drinker, so I really appreciated the tea like complexity of this one.
Loved the aroma in the beginning, but the citrus and berry notes failed to come out to me once I brewed. Also, the beans were very oily and picked up a very odd smell after a few days...
This is the best coffee ive had!
My wife and I did not like this coffee- it is not to our taste. I think that we should be reimbursed for this selection.
I was not a fan of this coffee, I fail to taste the notes described. It’s not a bad coffee, but not as good as the ones I’ve had in the past where the juicy berry note was really the star.
So good! Best so far, with nuanced notes of citrus and red berries.
We loved this coffee. It was everything promised. Would definitely order again!
This was even better than the Yirgacheffe Misty Valley from Dawson Taylor (though that one is excellent as well). Light, tons of flavor, more Citrus than Berry. May have to come back to this one- best of the bunch so far.
Very bright and tasty
Very good, fruity taste. Love the smell and taste of this coffee.
Smooth an liked the flavor
Very good coffee. I would buy again.
Brewed in a Chemex. Amazing coffee. Light, very fruity, with a lot of forward berry notes. I love this coffee.
