The Ethiopia Nigusse Nare Extended Fermentation was carefully roasted for you by Camber Coffee. This coffee was sourced from the growing region of Sidama in Ethiopia and was produced by Nigusse Nare at 1,900 - 2,100 meters above sea level. This is the first year that renowned Ethiopian producer Nigusse Nare has experimented with extended fermentation, a process that consisted of first pulping the cherries, then sealing them in barrels to ferment for 40-60 hours, washing, and, finally, drying on raised beds. This intricate technique resulted in a uniquely nuanced flavor profile with notes of honeydew, lime, plum, Rainier cherry, and rhubarb.
Fairly complex, with some good earthiness & dark cherry. I typically like a brighter coffee with a little more acidity than this. But this one was well balanced and interesting.
This is a blueberry bomb with a lot of nice subtle flavors. Opening the bag there was a nice blueberry and milk chocolate aroma with a slight tobacco hiding in the mix. On grinding the blueberry and chocolate took over. Brewed this up in a Chemex and it was strong on blueberry flavors but there was subtle tart cherry and rhubarb flavors present. I did not detect any honeydew per the description but it still was a very delicious cup.
Loved the strong fruity notes.
As Guy Fieri would say, “The flavor is out-of-bounds!”
Super blueberry forward and clean. Loving it so far.
