Description
This is the Late Night brought to you by Methodical Coffee. Late Night is made up of equal parts Costa Rica La Pastora and Brazil Dulce Signature. The Costa Rican component is brought to us from the CoopeTarrazu cooperative group in the San Jose province of Costa Rica. The Brazilian component is the culmination of work by two female producers in the São Palo region of Brazil. Together they make Methodical's Late Night, a rich, bold, and creamy cup of coffee.

Methodical is always a good cup of coffee. Above average and reliable. Will not blow you away with flavor notes, but checks the box.

A pretty nice and rich flavor! Definitely taste the nutty notes. Though I'm looking for a more chocolatey flavor that has a sweeter taste (if possible. I am new to this, after all).

Enjoy the flavor profile but doesn't punch through in an Americano like I prefer. Really good as straight espresso.

Good medium-dark roast. The dark and chocolatey flavors are usually what I’m looking for in a darker roast and this doesn’t disappoint.

Very dark and rich without the acidity. Mellow and smooth but not a ton of flavor. I think maybe not my favorite style.

Really tasty! Flavorful, rich, and I love the dark chocolate notes. Ground with a burr grinder and brewed in an aeropress as well as V60. The aeropress really brought out the best flavor, the V60 was a little more acidic (?), not as bold of a flavor.

I'm new to coffee but this was very good. It's a much heavier taste than I think I expected but I enjoyed it black without adding anything.

The overall and I thought Late Night was okay. I'm more of a fruity, aromatic, clean full bodied coffee person and while I appreciated something a little different, Late Night has a more dark roast characteristic, presenting mellow chocolate notes, a really nice mouthfeel, and a hint of floral (can't tell if the beautiful packaging is biasing my taste buds lol). The recommended dosing I give was too low and I instead upped it to 30g coffee to 16oz water for a more pronounced flavor, otherwise it felt watered down. I appreciate something different and this coffee was tasty albeit not in my preferences for taste profiles - thank you!

I brewed this in the French Press. It has the nuttiness that I love, but there was an acidic flavor to it that I really don't care for. Once the temp cooled down a bit, I was able to enjoy it more. I will have to try it in the Aeropress and Keurig to see what it's like.

Good, but a much darker roast than I would've liked. This is certainly down to personal preference and there's nothing wrong with the coffee, it's just quite a bit more roasty than I would've expected for a medium roast.

I would rate it closer to 3.5, but I’ll round up. I was able to get it to brew well in an aeropress with a paper filter. I wasn’t able to distinguish any nutty notes, so I primarily got the “roasted” flavor (very similar to roasted almonds, but somehow without the almond flavor?) and chocolate. Overall, ok but felt like it was missing something. Makes decent espresso as well, but nothing special.

This coffee was excellent. The espresso was a bit on the thick side and full of nice flavors: chocolate and maple syrup and roasted nuts.

Not too much character. If you like a roasty flavor, this has it. I like Methodical's Belly Warmer Blend much better.

The nose of this coffee is fantastic! Very chocolate forward. Tried as espresso, coffee was very dense and didn’t work well in that brew method. May need a week or two to age. Worked great as Chemex however.

I've just made my first cup, so I'm going to keep working on dialing it in! It's definitely creamy but I feel like the flavor is more floral and light than the last couple bags I've had. I don't hate it, but I do like something that comes out thicker and has a little bit more mouthfeel. I used an AeroPress for this method with a 4 minute brew.

This is an ok cup of coffee but I'm not getting much complexity in the flavor. There is also a strong, sour aftertaste that seems to linger.
